Gulf Coast Combustion specializes in pressure vessel PWHT and refractory dry outs, but the work doesn’t always fit a standard category. We’ve been doing this since 2014 and the reality is that industrial heat treating projects are rarely cookie-cutter.
When a fabricator, plant operator, or maintenance team has a job that falls outside the standard scope, this is where we start. We work through your specs, figure out the right approach, and execute it with the same standards we apply to every job.
Coating and Paint Cures — On-site curing of coatings and industrial paints on large vessels and structures using direct gas fire. Temperature uniformity and controlled heat-up rates matter here just as they do in PWHT.
Hydrogen Bake-Outs — Controlled heating to drive hydrogen out of weld zones and base metal, typically required after wet hydrogen service or specific repair scenarios.
Welding Pre-Heats — Preheat services to bring base metal up to required interpass temperatures before welding, particularly on thick-walled carbon steel and alloy components.
Decontamination of Large Storage Vessels — Thermal decontamination for vessels coming out of service, using on-site direct gas fire equipment.
Line Thaws and Valve Opening Assistance — Controlled application of heat to frozen or stuck lines and valves.
Space Heating — Temporary on-site space heating for work environments, scaffolding enclosures, and cold-weather operations.
Temporary or Permanent Furnace Operations — We can staff and operate furnace equipment on a temporary or permanent basis, including setup and commissioning support. GCC has also assisted other companies in building and commissioning furnaces at their own facilities.
In-House Small Batch Work (Spring, TX) Our shop at I-45N/Hwy 99 in Spring handles smaller-scale work: pipe spools, small flanges and fittings, test coupons, and localized PWHT on components that don’t require on-site mobilization.
